Pora is a Beauty and Health AI assistant developed to democratize dermatology and cosmetology services. Our goal is to empower peoples' wellness and beauty with an ultimate tool for understanding and further improving their skin. We develop breakthrough AI solutions that combine deep knowledge of the user's condition with comprehensive competencies in skincare products.

We already have developed the iOS version of our app that is available in the US, Canada, and EU stores. It’s capable of:

• Guiding the user through a dermatological questionnaire to understand their conditions and needs
• Taking images of the user’s face and providing ML-based analysis
• Providing meaningful recommendations of topical cosmetic products that can improve the skin conditions of the user.
• Suggesting face exercises to maintain firmness and the youth of the skin.

What do we need

We are at our early stages now. We have the early version of the product, and we need a deeper understanding of our users and the market in general to enable sustainable growth. We have many ideas, and we need to choose between them thoughtfully. UX research is one of the key ingredients here — and that’s why you might become our hero!

Here’s what your day-to-day duties might look like:

• Lead UX Research initiatives for the pora app by translating product objectives into research scope.
• Identify important research questions and opportunities, work closely with product managers, designers and analysts to perform meaningful research.
• Autonomously design and conduct user research studies from start to finish including recruiting, moderation, and report writing both by yourself and with vendor partners.
• Use a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to provide insights into users’ behavior and attitudes.
• Optimize research efforts to fit the pace of the start-up by choosing the right and optimal combinations of methods and tools.
• Generate and share actionable easy-to-digest insights and further collaborate with the rest of the team.
• Create and maintain the repository of research results and insights.
• Collaborate with researchers from other Palta startups and the Head of UX Research.
